Joseph is a small child whose heart has big problems. He needed multiple surgeries before being adopted from China, and it was expected that he would need a heart transplant in the future. His lab is 3D-printing hearts of people who need heart surgery so that they can design and practice complicated surgeries on exact models beforehand. It’s a method which is revolutionizing heart surgery by making the most difficult heart surgeries feasible – but will it be enough to save Joseph’s heart?
