Having a 3D printer is so cool when you need special parts for you RC car. I have a Flashforge Finder, a printer in the lower end, so far from the best one, and it can print some different types of filament, but it mainly PLA. When I need something with a bit more strength then I use PLA Carbon filament.
I’m not a good designer so I do need others to make most of the parts, but luckily there are allot of people sharing what they are making.
I did a long time back made a rear upper deck mount for the upper deck on the Tamiya TA-01 chassis, but Jan-Christoph Hirchert took the time and made a 3D model for a mount, so a big thanks to him for doing that. In addition to getting a mount looking a bit better I also get the chance to print it in the same green colour as the chassis it self, a big plus 🙂
